Our Story
Brightmood was founded with a simple belief: a hotel should feel less like a stopover and more like a state of mind. From a single restored townhouse in Stockholm to our current Melbourne home, the brand has grown quietly, shaped by the people who stayed, dined and returned.
What began as a private residence for small gatherings became a boutique hotel where light, texture and calm guide every decision. The name reflects both the Nordic love of brightness and the uplift that good hospitality can provide.
The Melbourne Hotel
Located on Collins Street, our Melbourne property opened as a response to the city's demand for calm, personal accommodation in the centre. The building's restrained façade gives way to interiors of natural stone, pale oak, brushed brass and soft wool.
Guest rooms face the city or a quiet interior courtyard. The ground floor is animated by a restaurant, lounge and a private entertainment room with a casino-inspired design.
